Fight against Corruption around the World
Every year, more than a trillion dollars are poured into corruption in the world, for the wealth of a few, and corrupt the economic and financial systems.
Corruption is a global phenomenon that generates poverty, hinders development and discourages investment. It also weakens the judicial and political systems which should serve the general interest. The rule of law is weakening to the detriment of the few. This organized corruption also has the effect of reducing the level of confidence that citizens have in the judicial and political system. This observation we all do, the only subject is to know how to put in place processes to prevent and fight against this global scourge.
Corruption, of state agents, corporate executives and women and men of the law is every day acts such as the embezzlement of public funds, influence peddling and trivialized corruption. There are no small or big corruptions.
Whether it is the giving of gifts to officials to speed up a procedure for a simple individual or the payment of bribes for public contracts paid by major international groups, we must prevent and fight against what day after day impoverishes the weakest to the detriment of the general interest.
Corruption is often equated with acts of organized crime, mafia systems, and illegal taking of interests.
Most states implement individual policies, but it is up to civil society to join government policies in order to prevent and fight against this scourge. We are convinced that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) can have preponderant and complementary actions to state policies.
We have witnessed the strong consequences of certain denunciations which have led to the resignations of public actors, the condemnation of companies guilty of criminal acts and changes in the policy of certain countries.
Our organization aims to influence these actions of prevention and operational fight against all forms of corruption in the world.
